Position Overview
We are looking for a user-experience (UX) designer able to understand our business requirements and any technical limitations, as well as be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate user experience design requirements for our suite of digital software modules.
- Collaborate with the marketing team, and internal business analysts to ensure the creation of digital user experiences.
- Facilitate our product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital software modules.
- Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to improve the user experience.
- Develop and conceptualize a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand.
- Create, develop and document standard and crucial UI components and style guides for company-wide use including typography scheme, responsive layouts, color palette, buttons, navigation menus and other UI components and important UX components like hover states, dropdown fills, animations, etc.
- Producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
- Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
- Collaborate with developers to handoff design mockups that ensure the fidelity of designs & product requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in QA and technical writing. Continuously seek ways to improve our quality assurance processes and documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Have a proven track record developing innovative web and mobile designs that are beautiful, delightful and easy-to-use.
- Have experience at a fast-growing startup and/or a marketplace, professional network or enterprise SaaS business.
- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design and grid principles
- Strong typography, layout and visual design skills.
- Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, Design Systems. Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and the use of various Javascript frameworks in interface design is a plus.
- Working knowledge of the ideation and creation of UI design deliverables: Sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, lo-fi and hi-fi layouts, prototypes.
- Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
- Ability to innovate and develop out-of-the-box solutions to complex user interaction problems.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
- A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
- Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
- Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
- Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
- Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
- Strong proficiency in both English and Chinese, along with excellent presentation skills, additional language is a plus
- Preference for candidates with experience in digital identity, digital wallets, digital onboarding, or fintech-related applications.
